By downloading, accessing, or using BuddyGuard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms form a binding agreement between you and BuddyGuard.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use BuddyGuard. If you are under the age of majority, you may only use the app with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.
You agree to use BuddyGuard responsibly and only for personal accountability and screen-time management. You are responsible for your own actions and the app settings you choose.
BuddyGuard is an accountability tool, not medical treatment. The app does not guarantee behavior change, addiction recovery, sobriety, productivity improvement, or any mental health outcome.
BuddyGuard offers auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period. You can manage or cancel anytime in your platform account settings. Refunds are governed by the rules of the Apple App Store.
You may not misuse the app, harass Buddies, submit false information, impersonate others, or attempt to exploit, reverse engineer, decompile, or abuse the service. Accounts that abuse the service may be suspended or terminated.
BuddyGuard and all related content, branding, mascots, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
BuddyGuard may change, suspend, or discontinue features, pricing, or availability at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
BuddyGuard is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that blocks cannot be bypassed.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuddyGuard is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for missed messages, delayed approval codes, technical failures, phone carrier issues, Apple or Google permission limitations, blocked app failures, or users bypassing restrictions. Our total aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.
You agree to indemnify and hold BuddyGuard harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the app or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BuddyGuard operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved on an individual basis, and you waive any right to participate in a class action, to the extent permitted by law.
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and BuddyGuard regarding the app.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
